I received the Unflavoured Smoocha Lip Balm from Shoosha for free (#gotitfree) from PeopleTail in exchange for an honest review. I tend to have really dry lips due to seasonal allergies. I wake up with a dry mouth and chapped lips. I am always on the lookout for products that will aid in alleviating this dryness, and cracking of lips. I was eager to try these Smoocha lip balms, as they are truly organic and are available in several different flavours, something for everyone. The flavours include: unflavoured, strawberry and eucalyptus mint.

Here, I am going to review the unflavoured Smoocha lip balm. I cannot stress how much I love this product! This particular lip balm is unflavoured, although it has a really subtle beeswax scent. Unlike several other lip balms on the market, these lip balms are USDA certified organic. They are non-GMO, free from: gluten, dairy, soy, corn and palm. These lip products are safe enough to eat - seeing as they are made up of all-natural ingredients. This makes it safe enough to use even on babies!

This lip balm glides on really nicely - there is absolutely no build up, and no sticky residue upon application. I have had this issue on the past with organic/all-natural lip balms. They tend to melt or lose their structure almost. When you apply the lip balm, they tend to melt or break down, creating little lumps all over your lips, instead of that soft smooth layer. One product that this reminds me of is Vaseline - it can be used for multiple different things; it isn't just your typical lip balm! In comparison to Vaseline, it is not as greasy - and this product is organic - whereas Vaseline is not! This lip balm is healthier and safer to use! Seeing as this lip balm is unflavoured, you can use it for any other dry skin/patches you may be experiencing. I can honestly say that I have used it on my cuticles, knees and elbows. It is very lightweight, and a single layer does the job - it doesn't leave behind any stickiness. I keep this lip balm in my purse, so that I can always have it at hand - this is one product you do not want to leave your house without. I love that you can layer this lip balm atop of lip stick - especially if you have a matte product, to add some shine.

The ingredients are listed directly on the lip balm, which I love! You can see exactly what you are applying onto your lips. Many companies place the ingredients on the product packaging, which many often toss as soon as they break out the lip balm. It is made up of these following ingredients: organic helianthis annuus (sunflower) seed oil, organic cera flava (beeswax),  organic cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, tocopherol (vitamin E), organic rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, organic calendula officinalis (calendula) flower extract.

Organic beauty products are important to me because I like to know what I am putting on (as well as in) my body. Organic products are better for your skin - there are no harsh chemicals used. Chemicals do more harm than good, and many products are made up of several chemical ingredients. They may appear to work in the short term, but in the long term they cause damage - clogging of pores, increased sensitivity, irritants. Organic ingredients work alongside with your body, encouraging your skin to balance and heal itself. It provides your skin with the necessary ingredients needed to repair on its own. These ingredients are also better for your health. Conventional products are made up of endocrine-disrupting (phthalates, sulfates, parabens) ingredients that absorb/accumulate in your skin/body, and can have dire effects on your overall health. These ingredients are also better for the environment. Organic ingredients are grown and produced using sustainable practices, and absolutely no harsh chemicals. This results in less waste and toxins returning back into the earth.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their dry, chapped lips (or skin). Not only does this visibly enhance the look and appearance of dry lips, it is also so much better for you to use as the ingredients are all-natural! This lip balm is unlike any others I have tried in the past - conventional or organic.
