What a fun way to test out a new product, then by putting it to the test in some new recipes.
This weekend, we hopped into the kitchen and made up some really yummy Roasted Fig and Chickpea Cake using our new EcoIdeas COFFIDEAS 🍰
The cake turned out incredibly fluffy and the flavour of the cake is actually better than a typical white cake. This turned out to be like heaven.
Heres the recipe to try out with your family! Don’t forget to get creative and alternative ingredients and add your favourite toppings like chocolate icing, or even a cinnamon crumble.
Roasted Chickpea and Fig Cake with EcoIdeas
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons of salted butter
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/3 cups of milk
3 tablespoons of brewed EcoIdeas Roasted Fig and Chickpea Coffee Alternative
Directions:
1. Gather ingredients.
2. Heat oven to 350F.
3. Grease 8 inch cake pan.
4. Combine flour and baking powder in bowl and set aside.
5. Mix butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
6. Beat eggs and vanilla into mixture. Set aside.
7. In a measuring cup, combine milk with EcoIdeas Coffee Alternative.
8. Blend into flour and butter mixture with mixer until creamy texture. Blend well.
9. Spread batter into pan.
10. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 15 minutes before adding your favourite toppings.
