Phase out coffee but keep your routine!

This is a cool alternative to coffee if you’re trying to quit. It has the same rich bitterness that coffee does with the sweetness of figs, which interestingly enough is the only ingredient. You make it the same way you would your regular coffee; this product looks and feels just like coffee grounds so this is really helpful for those trying to phase out their coffee habits, or replace their afternoon cup. You can ditch the caffeine but keep your routine, which is neat.
So today I wanted to make a sweet café au lait, to change it up from my regular black coffee. You brew the fig grounds like you would regular coffee grounds, but since it is highly concentrated you only need a teaspoon or two, depending on how strong you like it. I used some unsweetened almond milk and a couple squeezes of agave syrup to sweeten it. I honestly wouldn’t know it wasn’t coffee if no one told me! And I’ll definitely use this to replace my habitual second cup of coffee. As it gets warmer outside I look forward to drinking this as a cold brew.
